Drain valves are not designed to mist. They are designed to evacuate liquid that is still in the line after the water is turned off. A manufacturer in Arizona (AmFog Nozzle Technologies) has information on their website for drain valves and misting nozzles; their YouTube videos also explain how the drain valves and misting nozzles work.
A thermal relief valve is a liquid-only relief due to expansion of a liquid with increased temperature.A safety valve relieves pressure due to a gas.It should be noted that "safety valve" is a general term which could refer to Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs) or Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs), terms which are used synonymously in some industries (such as the petroleum industry) to refer to all relief devices in general.
You see and hear water flowing out of it's drain tube into the floor drain.
You can get a back water valve. It is similar to a check vale/ the back water valve goes on your main sewer line out side of home. It is desined to stop black water form coming into your home if main line stops up. Thay do make a device that can be installed into an exsisting drain it lets water through your drain but will not let water back up through you shower drain.
Not directly.
At the lowest point of the system. Old-fashioned low efficiency boilers have own at the bottom of the heat exchanger. Note: Residential boilers should rarely if ever be drained. www.badgerboilerservice.com
If there is no drain valve at the radiator you can drain the system at the drain valve on the boiler
There should be a drain valve where you can hook up a hose and then open the valve to drain.
There is a drain valve at the bottom of the radiator and you will have to remove the drain bolt in the engine block.
Hot water heat is typically a closed system, and the pressure gage is used to determine if the system is full of water. Loss of water in a closed system will create air gaps in the water flow, and the boiler is not capable of heating air. Low water level arriving back to the boiler will trigger the high-temp shut off switch, and the water will not become hot. Add water to the system and check the gage. To add water, open slightly the system drain valve (should be located in a pipe at the top of the system) and fill the system thru the inlet valve with a hose from a faucet until the spray from the open drain valve is solid. Close the drain valve system, and then close the inlet valve. Close the faucet valve and remove the hose.
The key word is "drain", meaning it works by gravity, so a drain value should be at the lowest point in the system. Typically there is one just past the meter. If a lawn irrigation system is a branch of the main system it should have its' own drain valve for winterizing it. You can purchase stop valves (or shutoff valves) with built-in drain or bleeder valves.
The drain valves are usually plastic now -a- days and can break easily so I always pull one end off the lower hose to drain the system.
It's a valve that allows you to drain the water from a jet ski. It's used after washing the bilge or to drain the bilge after riding.
bottom of rad you will see a small drain valve
What do you wish to do, drain the coolant or remove trapped air from the system? To drain coolant, there usually is a drain valve located at the base of one of the radiator tanks, there is one tank on each side of the radiator. If it is not there or broken, just remove the lower radiator hose, ENGINE COLD ONLY.
A"drain pump" machine uses a drain tube that is higher than the the level of water in the basin and therefore uses a mechanical pump to empty the tank overthat threshold pipe. A "dump valve" drain uses a mechanical valve at the bottom of the basin and simply opens to drain the tank.
That would depend on where in the system the valve is. In many instances you can pump down the unit so all of the refrigerant is in the condenser and change a valve that is on the low side of the system or indoors.
After a main water valve is closed the system's PVC pipes are still full of water and will drain to the lowest sprinkler head until the system is empty.
