If it were there could be no bonding between atoms because bonding is a result of transfering or sharing of electrons by atoms;

besides quarks are already present inside a neutrons;

if electrons were present inside a neutron they would repel each other, so there would need to be a force that keeps them together.

There is a force that holds the nucleus together called the strong interaction mediated by gluons which wouldn't interact with electrons so the neutrons would be unstable.

Proton. Neutron. Electron.

What happens inside a nucleus if betta decay occurs?

The neutron changes into a proton and an electron

Can electrons be found in the nucleus of an atom?

Though the electron itself is not present in the nucleus of an atom, the elementary particles that make up the electron are present inside the neutron. In other words, a neutron is made up of an electron and a proton. How do we know this? Because when a neutron decays, it slowly decays into a proton and an electron. It's a cycle.

Why isnt the mass of the electron included in the mass of an atom on the periodic table?

the mass of electron is very less compared to that of a proton or a neutron it is 1/1800 the mass of 1 proton and therefore it is negligible and not included.

Do a neutron and an electron have approximately the same mass?

No, a neutron is about 1836 times the mass of an electron

How does an electron differ from a neutron?

An electron has a negative charge to it, whilst a neutron has a neutral charge to it.

Negatively charge subatomic particle?

The electron, the negatively charged particle in an atom, is located in the electron cloud, as opposed to the proton and neutron, located in the nucleus.

Is the charge of a electron always equal to the charge on a neutron?

The charge on an electron is never equal to the charge on a neutron. An electron carries one negative charge and a neutron has no net charge.

What subatomic particles are present in an atom except proton neutron electron?

Protons and neutrons is inside the nucleaus.Electrons around it.

How many particles do the atom have?

5, electron, proton, neutron, nucleus, and electron cloud.

What heappens to an atom that experiences radioactive decay?

Electron capture is the absorption of an electron by an atomic nucleus if that nucleus is neutron poor. An electron is captured, usually from an inner electron shell of that atom, and it will convert a proton in the nucleus into a neutron. We know that a neutron is converted into a proton and an electron in neutron decay, so it might be looked at as something of an opposite nuclear reaction where a proton and an electron combine to form a neutron.
