The Address is a relatively short and concise speech, lasting no longer than three minutes. Given how much work it took to set up a camera in the 1860s (positioning, focus, exposure time), the speech would have been over before anyone had a chance to take a photo.
He was finished with the speech before the photographer had time to take a picture.
The photographer wasn't able to get a picture in time because his speech was so short.

The dead. He was giving the Gettysburg Address when he said that in dedication to the fallen Union soldiers buried there.
Abraham Lincoln, president of the Union (the northern states), had problems with various pressure groups who wanted the war, which had killed 250,00 of America's young people, to end, even at the cost of giving in to Confederate demands. The Gettysburg address, given while the war was still raging, served to bolster the spirits of the north by focussing on the ultimate goals.
A number of still photos exist of Abraham Lincoln. There were no motion picture cameras extant at the time, so there is no video, nor it there recorded sound of any kind from that era. There is only a single known photo of President Lincoln taken at Gettysburg on the day he made his speech there, and it is posed. We see many photos from that time that were posed by Lincoln and other subjects. Seeing Lincoln (or anyone else) actually in the midst of giving a speech is not something we'd expect. Photography at the time was much different than it is now, and because of limitations, "action" shots were not something the photographer did much of. As luck would have it though, there is a single known photograph of Lincoln actually giving a speech. It was taken while he was presenting his second inaugural address, and it is linked below.
General Grant won control of Vicksburg. After Gettysburg Lincoln was upset with General Meade (who was the commander of the Army of the Potomac at Gettysburg) because he didn't pursue Lee's troops. Lincoln named General Grant leader of all Union armies. Grant moved his headquarters right next to General Meade's and told Meade that he was still in charge. This way Meade would be happy because he would still be "leader" of the Army of the Potomac, even though Grant was the one giving all the orders. It also kept Lincoln happy because he moved to the Army of the Potomac and began a new battle plan, the campaign of the east.

There are no photos of Lincoln giving the Gettysburg Address because, only the people involved and relatives of the fallen soldiers were allowed in the cemetery.
