It sounds to me like you are missing important codecs that are required for DVD playback. I would look into obtaining these through Windows Update, or Windows Media Player should obtain them automatically. If you have no luck, try looking up Divx Bundle or K-Lite Codec Pack, these contain the codecs needed for the audio tracks.
It is not the DVD drive itself that outputs sound, it is the computer that does. If your computer has a compatible sound card, then yes, Dolby Digital will be available. anonymous@oola.com
If your computer has a CD drive, but the video into it and it should start playing automatically or something pops out to ask if you want to play the DVD.
In order to hear it, yes. You can watch it without sound, however.
install sound drivers
You cannot get a DVD recorded in your cell phone. You could play the DVD on another device and use the sound recording option of the cell phone to record the DVD or you could use the camera of the cell phone to record both sound and video. You might also play the DVD on your computer and connect the cell to the computer via a USB cable.
It could be many factors. Make sure that the program playing the DVD is outputting the sound to the same device you're using (sound card, headphones, whatever). Make sure that the program's volume, the operating system's volume, and the device's volume are all at reasonable levels. Make sure that your sound card has the correct drivers installed. Make sure your playback device is plugged in and powered on!
The cause of a Xbox 360 to stop playing sounds when a DVD is in it could be that the sound is turned down or has been muted.
no it isnt out yet
To play a DVD-R media one can use a DVD player or a personal computer/laptop. If used a computer/laptop, one might also need adequate software for playing DVD media.
No, a dvd device is either a DVD player, or a DVD drive on a computer.
