Always has been, always will be.
No. They are all "Practicing Christians," but they want to remain known as a band and not a ministry. Although it is obvious that the band is all christian. this can be proven through their lyrics on 'Typical', 'Chaos', and 'Stare At The Sun'. Their old band, Earthsuit, was a christian band though. Strive is a christian band a band that fuses soaring, meaningful bands like U2 and Switchfoot with the sweeping piano-pop of Billy Joel and Bruce Hornsby. They got a youtube and a myspace if you really want too check them out they are a really good band they're slowly getting more popular. Anyway, they are relatively new.
They do, but I think they consider themselves more of a secular band because if they start just calling themselves a purely Christian band they would probably lose their secular fan-base. Isn't it good that people who mainly listen to just secular music listen to Christian music and might not realize it? I think that is great! Their songs are Christian they play on Christian radio stations, and they sing some really great songs, too.
Switchfoot seems to have been a popular band with an average user rating of 4 out of 5 stars on MSN Music. I tried to find more information and opinions, but it is usually stuff like "Switch foot is good" or "I love this band" I didn't come across many negative reviews
No, Mors Principium Est is not a Christian band. They are more on the "Sacreligious" end of the spectrum.
Yes they are, but they are also screamo, electronic, and experimental.
their are many christian rock groups today for example : flyleaf the devil wears prada the almost sent by the ravens living sacrifice red switchfoot satellites and sirens fireflight the becoming between the trees demon hunter staind 12 stones for today the letter black runaway city and moch more......... hope i helped :> god all the way
That was just what they first called themselves. Then they decided that Switchfoot made more sense to be called because they are all surfers and it's a surfing term.
They both are christian, but neither one is more christian than the other. They are both really good bands.
If you consider "Christian" a separate genre, they are a Christian band. If you were looking for something more specific, I'd say they probably fall somewhere between rock and alternative.
No. It fact they have more than one song against Christianity.
Evanecscence is not a Christian band. Evanescence has often been called a Christian band because of the song Tourniquet which was written by their ex-drummer in a Christian point of view many people falsely classified Evanescence as a Christian band.People are very confused about this, and understandably they should be. Evanescence started out in Little Rock, Arkansas as a "Christian Band". They were promoted as a "Christian Band" by all of the Christian community, and they knew the whole time. As a matter of fact, I remember them playing a TNT many times, which was an exclusive Christian venue.Wind-Up Records has a history with recruiting Christian bands with a decent sound, and then getting them to play non-christian music for more money. Creed is a perfect example of this, they were in a similar situation. So Amy Lee may be sick of getting that question asked, but it's her own damn fault. They promoted themselves as Christian band for so long in Arkansas as a local act, that is now part of their official classification.
