Why are the losses in a dc machine important to know?

Losses mean energy losses, which cost money, and most people like to know how much a machine is going to cost to run.

how do you know if heat tape on water pipes is working properly?

Do your pipes freeze .

Is there any friction besides fluid friction in swimming?

There is 'skin friction' also know as drag. There is also lubricated friction.

What is the only way that a simple machine can decrease the required input force?

By increasing the input distance. Or, you know, you could reduce friction losses (lube that pulley!) There's not "only one way"

When did the world know finally about friction?

i am doing a science project about friction i just want to know when the world knew about friction and how i think it came about when newton discovered it

How do friction affect?

We would need to know what the friction is to affect to respond to this question.

How many gallons per minute will flow through a 2 inch pipe at 60 psi?

What fittings are installed and type of valves and height as friction losses have a lot to do with the calculations. Also the piping material and lenght have to be taken into consideration.

Why is it important to know which surfaces provide more or less friction?

Bcuz grtr d friction... Grtr d energy loss n... Heat production is best in high friction... Friction is actually d process of formation of heat along a mechanical process... many experiments are about finding d mechanical energy... But d presence of friction cause heat production n can give an absolutely confusing answer

Where do Scotlands people put there bag pipes?

The pipers I know take apart their bag pipes and keep them in a bag made for it.

Why was the signing of the rebellion losses bill so important in the evolution of democracy in Canada?

i dont know..that's why i asked the question in the first place.

You push harder and harder on a box until it begins sliding across the floor. Which was the stronger of the forces acting on the box static friction or sliding friction?

Hey! I'm an 8th grade student, but I know the answer! Static friction is the stronger force. When you push on the box, the static friction increases to match your force when you push the box. However, when you go above the limit on the static friction of the box, sliding friction happens. Sliding friction is less than the static friction because it doesn't match your force or else static friction would come into play again. Hope this helps because I'm doing a report on this now!Use round objects, like metal pipes, to roll the washer across the floor. B. Put a lubricant between the surface of the floor and the washing machine.
