Medusa's body didn't disintegrate in the Greek myth. If you saw a movie or TV show in which it did, that's likely artistic license at work.
medusa's child was pegasus. pegasus came out of medusa's body when medusa's head got cut off. unlike medusa, pegasus was a very good god.
because her head can still turn people into stone so she doesn't need her body.
None of her head, body, or hair disintegrates.
Safe because Perseus killed Medusa for a good reason. 1. Medusa is evil and Perseus is a hero. 2. Medusa killed a lot of men and women just by turning them into stones. 3. Medusa will be punished for being evil and Perseus will be rewarded for being a hero. Perseus is the hero who decapitated Medusa's head off her body by using his sword. Perseus is very smart and knows how to kill Medusa because he uses his shield as a reflection so that he won't look at her in the eyes just so he can see her using his shield as a mirror just by looking at it. He tricked Medusa and removed her head from her body!
From when her head was chopped off, out of her body came Pegasus and another creature i forgot the name of.
Athena put the head of Medusa on her shield.
Perseus cut off medusa's head by using the sheild that Athena gave him to watch the sleeping medusa and then he cut her head off with a sword.
He did not, Perseus was sent to fetch the head of Medusa by King Polydektes of Seriphos.
Perseus gave Athena Medusa's head because she lent him her shield. Athena then put the head on her own, shield where it remains.
The hero that cut off Medusa's head was named Perseus. Who then gave the head to Athena.
Medusa died in her lair in the garden when Perseus cut of her head
