I don't know who Travis is, but The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Mormons in general strongly believe in the 10 Commandments which state "Thou Shalt Not Kill". Murder is considered one of the worst possible sins in Mormonism, second only to denying the Holy Ghost. If a Mormon did kill someone named Travis, you can be assured that it was not approved of or sanctioned by the Church as a whole, and that the murderer was promptly excommunicated.
I don't know who "he" is, but I don't think there has ever been a killer or a deadly event in which only Mormons were spared from death - so I guess the answer is yes.
Since Mormonism began in 1830, the main challenge Mormons have faced is criticism for their beliefs. At times this has caused violence, and some have even been killed for their beliefs, but for the most part it is just a general unacceptance.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) was officially founded in 1830. However, members of the Church believe that their religion is the same as that practiced in the Bible, clear down to Adam and Eve, so some Mormons might say that the Mormons have always been in existance!
Historically, Mormons were persecuted by being kicked out of their homes and chased out of their settlements, some were even killed. Today, persecution against Mormons is much less brutal. Typically they are only persecuted by harsh words and negative attitudes, although occassionally their homes or churches are vandalized. You can check out some examples of how Mormons have been persecuted historically and in modern times at the "Related Links" below.
I don't know that there is any specific number counted, perhaps about 50 have been killed directly due to their religion, and thousands have been killed while attempting to escape persecution (as in the case of the Mormon pioneers).
No one (well all that we know) killed Alison. She might have been killed but it says "She Vanished" and that's that
The Mormons went to Utah to avoid persecution by hostile mobs. They had been chased out of almost every city or state they had inhabited or founded. Some had been killed and Missouri even made it legal to kill any Mormon of any age if they didn't leave their property and much of their belongings and leave the state.
No, but he might have been if he hadn't been killed.
The reason why is because they were told to not go of the trail and Eckels did and he went off the trail and stepped on a butterfly and changed the future which made travis mad so he shot him
Karen Lutnick.
No. Catholics have been baptized as members of the Roman Catholic Church. Mormons have been baptized as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While they might have some similar beliefs, they are not the same thing.
There have been many Mormons in politics through the years. Please see the related source link below.
