There was only one explosion on the Lusitania. It was caused by a German torpedo hitting the ship during World War I, leading to its sinking. There were no subsequent explosions.
Britain argued for years that the Lusitania didn't carry any contraband. When salvage operations began, they acknowledged that there were some 5000 cases of small ammunition aboard. The wreck hasn't been totally explored but we know that it was a little more than a neutral passenger vessel.
Yes, they did, and I hope the answer to this question makes people reevaluate much of the 20th century. Approximately 4,000,000 rounds of Remington 303 shells were found on board the wreck in September of 2008, much of it in containers labelled "butter." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1098904/Secret-Lusitania-Arms-challenges-Allied-claims-solely-passenger-ship.html

No Specialized gear is needed to dive to the depths where the Lusitania rests. At 450 feet the wreck is not available to sport divers.

There is a wreck which is broken in half and has a large debris field. Fortunately for divers, both pieces are upright- unlike, say, Lusitania or the Britannic.
You might use them while driving and cause a wreck.
Are you trying to write a story, or trying to sell the vehicle? If you're writing a story, start where the action starts ... maybe with the wreck itself. Describe what happens. If you're writing a description for a sale, just describe the car, then add what damage has been done.
If you don't have lost damage waiver, you might have to pay for the damages.
