Reasons for modulation in wired media...........
1. If we use square wave directly it will require high bandwidth so we convert it to sine wave which requires low bandwidth.
2. If the wire length is smaller than wavelength it will radiate the signal and act as an antenna.

Explain why modulation is necessary or desirable.
modulation is necessary for transmitting low frequency signal to long range with desired qualitative information
The hardware requirements for a wired network typically include network cables (such as Ethernet cables), switches or hubs to connect multiple devices, and routers for directing traffic between networks. Additionally, network interface cards (NICs) are needed in each device to facilitate wired connections. Depending on the network's size and complexity, other components like firewalls and patch panels may also be necessary.
You will have to have a router to make a wifi network if you only have a wired modem.
→ Wired & Wireless Network
You will need to add a wireless access point to the wired network.
A router is good for a home network, but a simple switch or even a hub will do the job just as well, without DPI, or deep packet inspection.

→ Wired & Wireless Network
Generally pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) is trasmitted as a series of DC levels and are mostly used in wired trasmissions (DC is not effective wirelessly).
Modulation in radio broadcasting is important because it is necessary to adjust the carrier signal so that the information in the modulating signal can be broadcasted. You must have modulation in order to transmit thru a radio wave.
