Why most older brothers often feel jealous of little sister's boyfriend?

Here's the opinion of a big brother.
A big brother, whether he wants to admit it or not, develops close affection for his little sister, and feels obligated to protect her constantly.
This hyper-vigilance means that he does not like the idea of another young man being close to his sister at times when he can't protect her. This is particularly true of big brothers in way it's not true for fathers, I think, because big brothers know how disrespectful their friends are to girls, or how much they themselves may take advantage of girlfriends.
Also, little sis' having a boy means that she is romantic and/or sexual, which is way way way nasty to think about.

∙ 13y agoBecause it's his little sister. Look at it this way. If you were the brother (if your a girl I'm just making a statement, no worries!) Anyways, if you were the older brother, would you want your little sister to have a boyfriend at your house all the time? You're brother loves you. He's just looking out for you! :) Hope I helped!

Some are, some are not, and no one has counted to see which group is the most. Making that assumption is uncalled for.
