The music is not absolutely forbidden. It is not allowed in certain cases and conditions. Any music is not allowed if it distracts you from ritual worships, excites you sexually, or prevents you from doing something more useful to yourself, your family, your neighbour, or your community.
basically Islam means submission to Allah so in Islam were meant to impress
Allah and be more closer to him, now music keeps us away from Allah
so that's why its forbidden in Islam.
