Seaweed do not have to live in water all the time - think of inter-tidal periods when they are not in the water. Only some kinds of moss live in the water. Many kinds of mosses never live in the water - but do tend to live in a damp environment. The underlying concept to think about is dessication.
because they have no roots to take in water from the soil
Seaweed has to live in the ocean because they need the ocean's salt water to survive.
You can not get a tub of salt water and think that you can grow seaweed.
diffusion-water diffuses into the cells and they burst and die
They both grow in damp places
yes
Moss reproduces by having its cells split into two repeatedly. This process, known as asexual reproduction, is carried out best in warm, dark, and damp environments because: warmth makes them reproduce quicker, they do not need light [and actually prefer less of it], and because they require water to survive [basically for the same reasons we do, it's a very important componant to hello peepslife].
Mosses are primitive plants belonging to class Bryopsida.Moss cover patches of forest floor in damp shady places
mosses are usually found in damp areas, commonly in woodlands or on the edge of streams. Some can be found in damp areas in cities. Mosses can inhabit marshy areas, slow moving waterways and boggy areas. Trees and rocks in moist regions can attract colonies of moss generally found on the north side, the side away from sunlight in the northern hemisphere
because they don't have roots to absorb water and nutrients required for the growth.so they live in damp places.
They need this to keep them hydrated. It helps the mosses and other plants to continue growing in that area.
cause they are there only around water like forests and lakes some place with a damp invirment
Because mosses require water for their motile gametes and also being very delicate damp areas are best for growth
