because that what they are for. otherwise they would be orange headlights.
It could be the keyswitch or the starter solenoid.
2002 vw jetta-temperature light goes to red in 30 seconds. any opinion will be appreciated.
Yes... buy any Jetta, Golf or Cabrio model disc brakes or strip them at the junk yard. its easy to install but its possible. make sure its only from the years 1996-1998 if not it won't work
No, only Jetta.
No. The only compressor that will fit your 2000 Jetta is one with the same part number as your current one. They are completely engine-specific.
I just had this same problem with my 1998 VW Jetta. My parking brake light came on one day, but only half illuminated. Shortly after my windshield wipers and headlights stopped working. My radio works but the fans don't work either. I just found a thread which seems to point the problem at the ignition switch: http://car.justanswer.com/volkswagen/6uht-1998-volkswagen-jetta-headlights
The emergency flashers are "ON". The two wires that feed the lights are shorted together. Check the front turn signals also for both being "ON"
Have to have a computer OB VAT Tool or Volkwagen dealer only check. The other way is to check the fluid when the engine is warm . There is a plug on the side of the transmission pan.
you can't, only a dealer can.
when the transmission is not shifting or changing out on a 1.8 jetta
Hi there, you will need to take it to a refirgerant specialist. They will be able to recharge it for you there, only takes about 20 mins for the whole process. More importantly they will check the compressor for you at the same time to make sure it is not faulty.
THERE IS NO TRANSMISION DIP STICK ON THE VW JETTA YOU HAVE TO BRING THE CAR INTO VW SERVICE. ONLY THEY CAN CHECK AND ADD TRANSMISION FLUID
