Why my sliding door on 95 mercury villager want stay open for children to get out?

if you look on the bottom track there is a little rubber bump in it. On your van it must be almost flat. it is supposed to poke up like an upside down V.
Mine has the same problem and although I have tried to get it to stick up again, it may have to go to a mechanic who can replace the rubber bump.
