Do scallops and shrimp cook at the same rate?

Size and weight are important, but shrimp cook amazingly fast. I usually prefer smaller shrimp (16 -18 per pound) and larger scallops. Larger scallops take more time, smaller scallops take less time, but don't compete, in my opinion, with the swiftness at which shrimp will finish cooking. BTW, the plural of shrimp is "shrimp."

To be Jewish can mean you either practice the Jewish religion, or are from a Jewish decent. It is both a race and a religion. Likewise, people that do practice the Jewish religion do not have to be culturally Jewish, or have Jewish ancestors.

Is it Ok to put shrimp and scallops together on skewers?

Some people would shout at you for wasting good food but at the end of the day its you food and i think that shrimps and scallops on skwers are okay. Answer: Yes, it's fine. Shrimp and scallops are often cooked and/or served together, whether on skewers or in other dishes like seafood stirfries, etc. The bottom line is, if you like it that way, do it that way, anyone who doesn't like it, can eat something else.
