There are so many different things that KOSHER Jews are not allowed to eat. Shellfish is not allowed, so that means shripmp and scallops are not allowed.
No. Scallops are mollusks and shrimp are crustaceans.
Size and weight are important, but shrimp cook amazingly fast. I usually prefer smaller shrimp (16 -18 per pound) and larger scallops. Larger scallops take more time, smaller scallops take less time, but don't compete, in my opinion, with the swiftness at which shrimp will finish cooking. BTW, the plural of shrimp is "shrimp."

To be Jewish can mean you either practice the Jewish religion, or are from a Jewish decent. It is both a race and a religion. Someone that is culturally Jewish may not practice the religion, but has a Jewish heritage. Likewise, people that do practice the Jewish religion do not have to be culturally Jewish, or have Jewish ancestors.
Some people would shout at you for wasting good food but at the end of the day its you food and i think that shrimps and scallops on skwers are okay. Answer: Yes, it's fine. Shrimp and scallops are often cooked and/or served together, whether on skewers or in other dishes like seafood stirfries, etc. The bottom line is, if you like it that way, do it that way, anyone who doesn't like it, can eat something else.
There aren't areas of the Jewish religion.
Answer Shellfish are usually shrimp, clams, crab, oysters etc. They are seafood that has some type of shell covering them.
