due to irregullar climatic conditions,and chemical reactions,the internal switch elements get carbon or other deposits on its surface...dissamble the switch and clean it by some cleaning agent fluid
If your hazard lights don't work but your turn signals do work it could be that your Hazard Lamp Flasher needs to be replaced. Your car has both a "hazard lamp flasher" and a "turn signal lamp flasher". Your "turn signal lamp flasher" is working but your "Hazard Lamp Flasher" may not be working. Buy a new "hazard lamp flasher" and install it. The hazard lamp flasher is located behind the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.
The flasher is built into the emergency hazard switch. Just pop out the bottom pieces and its then easier to get your finger in and pop out the flasher.
Check the bulbs, check the fuse, check the hazard flasher relay, if all that checks okay, check the hazard switch.

The hazard flasher unit is located under the LH side of the instrument panel between the junction block and the brake pedal.
