The whole idea of Ph value is that, in a Ph 1 compound dissolved in water, for every molecule of the acid in the solution, there is (heads up here comes the maths) X x10x10 of water molecules where X equals the number of acid molecules. If we had Ph 2 value, the equation would be this Xx10x10x10. Ph3= Xx10x10x10x10, so on and so forth.
