Depends on who your talking about - I love fruit. I think part of the reason why they arent more popular then they are however, is because Americans like eating either things with a long shelf life (potatochips, entenmans cookies)or things that satisfy their sugar cravings (candy and cake is sweeter then fruit and a different type of sugar) or they simply crave something salty and crunchy.
