due to epilepsy
This is one of the stereotypes of epilepsy. Very few people who have epilepsy ever froth at the mouth during a seizure. During a seizure someone could be opening and closing their mouth and generating but not swallowing saliva and so result in a slight increase in the amount of saliva and some coming out and so an appearance of frothing, but this very rarely happens.
Venom? Saliva?
No. While under anesthesia, you ( the patient) are intubated ( which means there is a tube down your throat to facilitate breathing for the unconscious patient ), and any saliva produced is suctioned away to prevent complications when the patient is being extubated.
Saliva can act as a natural lubricant during sexual activity, making it more comfortable and pleasurable. Some people also find that incorporating saliva into sexual activities can increase intimacy and arousal. However, it's important to ensure that both partners consent to and are comfortable with any activities involving saliva.
Only if it is caused by nausea.
Saliva is produced by salivary glands in the mouth, not by the tongue itself. The tongue plays a role in mixing saliva with food during chewing and swallowing.
The percentage of people who spray saliva when yawning is not precisely documented, but studies suggest that a significant portion of individuals may experience some saliva release during yawning. Factors such as mouth position and the force of the yawn can influence this. Generally, it is considered a common physiological response, though exact statistics are rarely reported.
Yes, the tongue itself does not secrete saliva. Saliva is produced by salivary glands located in the mouth and is then released into the oral cavity. The tongue helps mix the saliva with food during chewing and swallowing.
While during the day saliva can be swallowed or spat out - either conciously or subconciously - at night time there is no effort to do so and it remains in the mouth.
