If you did not put oil in the mower the engine would seize in very short order. Oil is always required to lubricate all internal engine parts.
All lawn mowers are different so I cant give you a specific answer as to where to put the gas in. But all lawn mowers come with an owners manual so i highly suggest you refer to that because you may also need a specific type of gas
Barring the tire is solid, then yes you can put tubes into lawn tractor tires.
Almost all lawn mowers are 4 stroke engines that use regular gasoline (no additives except maybe some StaBil when you store it for winter) and ordinary motor oil, the same used in cars in the crankcase. Usually you would put 10W30 or 10W40 in their crankcases. Briggs and Stratton engines are on most lawn mowers, though Tecumseh is also common. Some have Honda small engines. I suppose two stroke lawn mowers exist but they are the vast minority. You do not add 2-stroke oil to the gas like a chain saw or weed eater. If the mower does happen to be a 2-stroke, I'm certain it would be plainly labeled, probably on the gas cap.
scrap it or put it out to the curb- someone will def. take it
Craftsman 6.5hp lawn mowers can use two kinds of oil--"HD 30" oil, which is a single-weight SAE 30, or the same oil you put in your car. (If you have a Honda lawn mower, you have to run multigrade oil in it.) I always have a case of 5W30 Castrol sitting there, and that's what I use because it's right there already. I also have some 15W40 Rotella on hand, but I wouldn't put that in a lawn mower--it's too thick. (Works good in a Cummins ISX, though.)
where do you put the oil at for a john deere 317 riding lawn mower and what brand of oil
Four stroke engines such as lawn mowers etc need only straight fuel. Either leaded or unleaded (depending on age and availability). no oil or other mixing is required
Most new mowers have a cut off switch inside the oil filler tube that shuts it off when the oil gets to low.Seeing it is a new mower the oil will burn a little causing the shut off to activate, put some more oil in it and it should be ok.
give up and hire a lawn service...
it mean either that u put to much oil in and its leaking out into the case and burning off the extra or it means you have let it set for to long. and i have seen on some old mowers after it rains sometimes they smoke but only for a few sec
You will foul your spark plugs and probably ruin your lawn mower. Because that oil is not designed to mix with your fuel.
