Xylem Phloem and are complex tissues that perform transportation of food and water in a plant. Xylem occupy the center of the vascular bundle and phloem occur on outer side of the vascular bundle.

the xylem is in the roots and the phloem is in the stem actually, their is xylem and phloem in the roots. there is a large central core of xylem often in the shape of an x. and the phloem is found in between the arms of the x shaped xylem.
Called the vascular system, or the vascular bundle.
