Single phase alters from positive to negative at 50 (50hz) or 60 (60hz) times per minute. While in dc it does not vary but stays at a constant positive phase.
This DC voltage is called the DC offset. Any decent signal generator will be able to add DC offset to the signal it generates. If you don't have one, simply connect a DC voltage to your signal.
DC is used for extra-high voltage transmission systems, as there are less losses with DC than with AC, and no synchronising problems.
A DC-to-DC converter is the general term for a device that changes DC voltage at one level to another.
A negative DC source could be connected in such a way as to act as a positive DC source. I'm not sure why you would want to flip it - supplying power "the wrong way" could cause equipment failures, protective systems (such as fusing) to not provide protection, and general other bad things.
green is ground regardless of ac or dc
Brown
If it is DC then red is positive and black is negative.
The full form of ESP used in power plant is Electro static precipitaor.
general English is used as a universal language, and ESP is an English used in a specific purpose or in a specific fields.
In a 48V DC system you ground the positive to 0V so the live wire will be -48V.
The most likely explanation is that the equipment used to stimulate the nerves uses a DC voltage to do so.
It does A transformer is an electrical device used to convert AC power at a certain voltage level to AC power at a different voltage, but at the same frequency. Normal supply DC (Direct Current) won't work without some changes to how it travels. The DC is turned on and off quickly in the primary coil, and this action will allow the pulsating that DC in the primary to drive the secondary transformer. Remember AC alternated between a positive currect and a negative current where Dc is positive then drops to zero then back to positive
It's an electronic component used to turn AC into DC. But it'won't be pure DC w/o some further processing. It is basically a semiconductor meaning will pass current one way only. Electrons will flow from positive to negative. Therefore Direct Current or DC as opposed to AC alternating current meaning positive and negative current flow. there is no such a thing as pure DC by adding a capacitor it can approach pure DC but mathematically speaking it is impossible to achieve.
A bridge rectifier, is a group of rectifiers (4 in a single phase) wired so that each half of an AC current is passed to respective positive and negative lines of a DC output. It provides full wave rectification of AC into DC.
