I think those type of songs should be banned because they give off a negative influence. These days people like to do things that they hear people rapping about.(not saying that rap music is the only type of music that displays this). Things such as guns, drugs, and making quick money is what people get from this type of music. Not everyone get influenced by this but some people do.

∙ 12y agoIt is an oddity of our culture that those who do wish such banned typically then wish everyone to listen to the very types of music that our ancestors wished to be banned back in their day!
Thus what was called "sexual" and "violent" in the fifties was fine and good in the sixties. And the sixties songs of revolution and free love that needed to be banned, became the good old fashioned music of those who disliked the rap that came out in the eighties. I am looking forward to 2040 when old folks in rocking chairs will want modern songs banned, and speak of the sweetness and light of Tupac and NWA.
The answer is that "sexual and violent music" should not be collectively banned. Rather, to accomodate the diversity of opinion in this - or any - nation, that we have a program of individual bans instead.
The individual ban is a feature to be found on all phonographs, radios and stereos - computers and TVs, too. Even the flatscreens have it. It's the switch that when turned or pushed, stops or deletes the offending song, so that one can no longer hear it.
That is ultimately the most effective ban there is. And you don't even have to lobby or vote for it.
