BC Safety Authority (BCSA) issue permits, licences and certificates to industries once they are happy that safety risks have been reduced when carrying out work that could carry an health and safety risk. BCSA are also there to educate if required. An example of an occasion where BCSA would be required to make an assessment would be if a building company were planning renovations involving gas and electrical work.
