When I was trying to decide my career choices, I didn't have
anyone to ask these kinds of questions. So I made Pros-Cons lists
and My Strengths-Weaknesses lists. I wrote down why I would be
"good" in nursing, and things that could bother me (like seeing
blood in surgery). I wrote and thought for an entire year before I
applied to school. When the interviewer asked why I'd be good in
nursing, I already had my answer figured out.
No one can tell you why you might be a good nurse. "I like to help people" is NOT a good enough answer. Be specific. But be honest, too. Start making your lists!
