Why should alternative medicine be developed?

I have witnessed and been a part of amazing healings (even instantaneous) that occur when the body is allowed to heal itself or when healing energies are rebalanced and/or introduced. With alternative medicine you do not have the serious adverse side effects that are inherent in the allopathic/pharmaceutical regime. You focus on strengthening the immune system from all aspects.

We can retain allopathic and drugs for emergencies, but most other situations would be better served with alternative healing and medicine. The era of the big pharma controlling the never-healing of America now has competition, which is a very good thing. The mind set in alternative seems to me a vast improvement over conventional medicine regardless of how many years a person went to school to learn to categorize health symptoms without curing them.

For instance, pharma/allopathic's view of a diabetic on insulin might be that it is inevitable and a life-long dependence on an expensive drug ~ good news for financial security for the doctor and drug company, but not for the dependent diabetic. Whereas, in the wholistic realm, the focus might be more like "how can this "dis-ease" of the body be reversed?" These are the types of healings that I have witnessed. Amazing what can be done wholistically so alternative medicine continues to develop because people see that it works.
