Why should kids be able to have cell phones?
A cell phone can be considered as a very important device for children nowadays to ensure their safety when they are away from their parents or guardians. Through cell phones, parents can easily connect to their children to update about their whereabouts; hence, lessening their worries. This is the very reason why there are now cell phones that are especially designed to adder the needs of children such as the ones that feature simple operation and SOS button.
Kids should have cell phones at age twelve or thirteen. That is when the kids start wanting to go over to their friends houses more often without you. Just in case anything happens while you are not around, they should be able to call you. Make sure your child is truly ready, but when they are, cell phones are good tools to allow communicate with your child, and to be sure your child is safe.
Kids should be able to bring cell phones to school as long as these phones are used in a way that does not disrupt classes. You should not be on the phone while your teacher is delivering a lesson.
