Why should the company hire you over the others waiting to be interviewed?

• If someone was to hire you it can be due to many things. mostly if you seem like a hard worker, dedicated, on time, reliable, and also if they can benefit from having you work for them you will be more likely to be hired! remember to dress accordingly for the interview and present yourself in confidence and intelligence.
• Because I am applying for a career, the others are applying for a job.
• You could say you have the qualities they are looking for, you can easily adapt to different environment, you're flexible and willing to learn new things. You have experience for position advertised.
• I am hard working, honest polite and dedicated to my work duties.
• The best way to respond is to give concrete example of why your skills and accomplishments make you the best candidate for the job. Take a few moments to compare the job description with your abilities as well as mentioning what you have accomplished in the past. Be positive. Reiterate you interest in the company and the position.

This is usually the last question asked at an interview and is normally your final opportunity to sell yourself. When you get to this part, you will have given lots of examples of what you can do for that business. Never, ever answer this question in a selfish way and what I mean by that is never say things like:

• well it's close to home for me
• the money is good
• it's not too demanding a job

At this point it's not about you, it's about what you can do for that employer or business. You should really use your answer to sell all your skills and personal qualities. For example:

I think my skills set are ideally suited to this role because an important part of the role is to be a strong team player and in all my previous jobs, I have always helped out colleagues working to tight deadlines and re-prioritised my own workload to do so. You also want someone who is reliable and committed. I am never late for work and have had no time off for sickness in the last xx years. I am very flexible and if the workload dictates I may have to stay on for a while to complete a deadline for a customer, I am more than willing to do this.
