Because, like myself, I dont believe In unity candles. I am a Christian and getting married in 10 months. And instead of lighting candles together, We will cut a cake together. I think it all depends on an individuals belief system, and what the venues will allow.
The wedding cake represent the bread which is the body of Christ, the toasting represent the wine which is the blood of Christ, the dove in Christianity is normally a symbol of the Holy Spirit. So, Christian use the Cake and Wine (toast) as a symbol for communion with Christ. Remember, a Christian wedding is a symbol of Christ and the Church, and Christ should be remembered at the foundation of Christian marriage as a Rock which builders rejected as the bible said. I think i should end here.. will add more next time.
There are no exact measurements. The wedding topper should be a few inches tall (6 inches is usually a pretty good height). The cake should meet your needs. A small wedding of 100 people might only need a cake one or 2 tiers (layers) high, while a wedding triple that size might need a cake that is 6 or 7 tiers high.
It depends on whether a bakery where you live would deliver the cake to the wedding reception. It might be quite difficult to transport the cake yourself.
There is no difference, Catholics are Christians, if you are asking about the difference between a particular protestant wedding and a Christian Catholic wedding, then you should ask that.
