It can be dangerous if you recycle the wrong thing. I'm not sure exactly what your asking, whether recycling is dangerous physically to humans or dangerous to the environment. I suppose there are some physical risks involed in handling all of those materials, especially glass. Also the huge machines that crush and grind up the glass and plasics, even the melting down process can be dangerous. I've always thought there would be a danger involved with the rotting food inside the containers being recycled as well, there must be a health risk to the people hadling recyclables. In my opinion recycling creates more pollution then manufacuring new as well. There's a lot evidence that shows that but there is also a lot of cover up to hide it but then hey, lets not get me started. == Recycling nuclear fuel is the most dangerous recycling job on the planet. The stuff sealed up inside the fuel plates or fuel rods is highly radioactive. Just the smallest amount of these hot radionuclides that might be inhaled would be a death sentence. And the half life of a number of the fission byproducts is many, many thousands of years.
