One reason is that the world is delicately balanced with ecosystems. If penguins with extinct, their predators would rely more heavily on their other food sources, which might make those die out, so their prey would thrive and overpopulate the earth, or many other things may happen. Also, the way to save the penguins right now is stopping global warming, which is an overall necessary thing, because we don't want the world heating up.
