Friction force oppose motion between two bodies that are in contact. This force is important in machines and pulley systems in that it enables the gears to have grip and there is no unnecessary sliding.
It lowers the mechanical advantage of the machine. The machine will not do as much "work".
Simply put, a simple machine makes the work much easier. Simple machines reduce the amount of force needed to do the work. A pulley, for instance, is a great example of a simple machine.
A CATAPULT IS A LEVER!!!
Simple machines will reduce the input force, but can allow you to travel farther distances. Your'e body is not putting in as much force, your body will allow you to do more work for a longer time....but yes,it decreases the input force.
Yes. Use simple and compound machines always get things done faster and better.
6 simple machines.
Because too much friction can damage the simple machines that make up the compound machine.
They do not. Simple machines reduce the effort used to do a task.
The transmission lever is very simple and there is no friction.
Simple machines such as pulleys, wedges, and levers reduce the amount of energy required to lift or move (heavy) objects.
No. The classic simple machines are: Lever Wheel and axle Pulley Inclined plane Wedge Screw Using the pen has no mechanical advantage, other than in a ballpoint pen where the roller bearing reduces friction, but is primarily intended to produce an even ink application.
They have to overcome less friction

IN SIMPLE WORDS: Friction turns mechanical energy into heat energy which causes a loss in mechanical energy and loss in possibility to continue motion..
If I'm not mistaken, there is no machine that can reduce friction. The machine is intended to change the distance the input force is applied over or to multiply the output force. The moving parts of the machine will always increase friction. In order to reduce the extra friction (but not completely remove it), one would use a lubricant or reduce the roughness between two surfaces. Hope it helps.

Yes, a simple machine can create friction, and friction can create heat. You are converting mechanical energy to thermal energy.
No. Work out is always less than work in due to friction and other losses..
