Although animal testing is effective and gets clear results about the effectiveness of many products, it is creul to subject a living animal to pain or to cause it to potentially suffer in any way. Animals used such as rats have good nervous systems (like we humans do) and can feel pain just like us: it is unfair to risk hurting the animal. Also, we wouldn't like it if a giant rat tested green dye on our skin so we should not do that to animals as they probably don't enjoy it either.

my opinion is that animals are the non version of us .. they both have feelings, they both feel pain. scientist for years been tryinh to find a cure for cancer for years with mice and all differnet kind of animals if they knowit doesn't work why keep testing on animals they should put an end to animals testing for good.

∙ 13y agoAnimals should not be tested for human products. If the product causes an adverse reaction, the animal must suffer through this reaction, for no reason. Plus, animals hair and skin is much different from ours, so testing on animals gives little use for the sacrifice the animals are making for our conveniences.

∙ 14y agoEven though animal testing isn't very nice it shouldn't be stopped otherwise we won't be able to have any medicines that we need. The medicines are tested on cells and organisms first so if they have any affect on them then they won't test it on the animals. Animals are well kept and given everything they need before the testing and if they are too ill to carry on then they will put it down so it is out of its misery so it won't be in any pain.

∙ 11y agoIn my view, cosmetic animal testing should end because I think the bad outweighs the good. It has the potential of causing animals to suffer for the sake of our own pleasure rather for advancement and needs.
Scientific animal testing, however, is a necessary evil. Due to regulations, humans cannot be tested on. Scientific advancement requires testing and could eventually greatly benefit both humans and animals.
