If you mean 'Why does the stop light on my Peugeot 406 light when the hand brake is not on?' then here are some possible reasons

1 check the fluid level in the reservoir under bonnet

2 check that hand brake is functioning properly

3 check rear wheel cylinders for leakage

4 check brake shoes for wear

5 check the brake adjusters

Most likely reason is that the shoes are worn and/or the adjusters are not functioning which can lead to leakage from the rear wheel cylinders. Brakes may still work but if there is excessive play on the hand brake this is a good indicator that the adjusters need tensioning

Why do ice cream trucks have a stop sign?

In some places, frozen dessert trucks are allowed to have stop signs and flashing red lights for the safety of the pedestrians who are crossing the roadway to or from the truck. Vehicles approaching a frozen dessert truck with the stop sign extended and lights flashing must stop before reaching the truck, look for pedestrians, then proceed slowly (usually 15 mph).

What will happen if there were no traffic lights?

If traffic lights are present but are not working (power failure) drivers are SUPPOSED to treat each intersection as if there is an all-directions stop sign. They rarely do that.

Can you pass a moving school bus on a two lane road?

You may treat a school bus as you would any other vehicle as you would as long as its flashing lights are not on and its stop sign is not out. If it is still moving and has its red lights on and its stop sign out, you should stop even though it has not come to a complete stop.

If a School Bus has its flashing red lights on do you stop?

Yes, all traffic in front and behind the Bus are REQUIRED to stop. When a bus has it's sign extended and it's lights are flashing, it is either picking up or dropping off children.

What must you do if you approach a school bus with lights flashing and stop sign extended?

You should obey the stop sign as though it were a red light, waiting for the kids to cross the street and the bus to retract the sign before continuing. You should stop even if you are on the opposite side of the street from the bus, as kids may be crossing the street.

Are flashing yellow lights to be treated just as a stop sign?

No. Flashing yellow means to proceed with caution... it means you have right of way and don't have to stop, but you need to be aware that there is an intersection there.
