your brake switch is either broken or out of alignment look above the brake pedal in your vehicle and make sure the switch is not hanging. The switch has to be closed to turn the lights off.
it dont have to, change your brake shoes/pads every 30000 miles or whatever
brake lights dont work
Probably need to replace the bulb.
Above the brake pedal. If your main brake lights dont work but your third center brake light does, then the brake light switch is not the problem. Its is the turn signal switch.
bulbs blown on high side or wiring shorted
Check the fuse, the bulbs, and the brake light switch.
Check the brake light fuse first. Then check for a bad brake light switch at the brake pedal.
I dont know because i dont have a FORD Check your brake light switch on the back of your brake pedal for adjustment.
check your bulbs
Check the brake light fuse. If you have 12 volts at the brake light switch I would suspect the signal light switch is at fault.
check to see if there are screws in the housing unit. if not, you may have to pry it off with a screw driver, just dont brake it, good luck, unless someone else has a better idea.
