there are stages, fixed blades on the turbine shell and rotating blades on the rotor. They are very close together sooo, because the steam enters at one end of the turbine it heats that area first and it expands the metal there faster than at the other end causing it to rub. if you heat it slowly the turbine casing and the rotor grow at ~ the same rate so the stages don't rub together. If you heat too quickly,by just admitting a high volume of steam, the rotor heats up to fast, because of it has less metal to heat up, it rubs the fixed blades. this is called going long (the rotor is longer than the tolerances between the fixed blades on the casing)
If the steam turbine is not preheated the steam may get condensed after coming in contact with the blades of the turbine.and proper expansion of the rotor and casing.
to prevent thermal shock (cracking) when super heated steam hits a cold turbine blade.
Grandvalley State University in Allendale, Michigan has developed one for sale that will provide about half the average power needs for a home for about $10,000.
The software needed to run a computer is known as the Operating System. Many hardware platforms allow you to choose between multiple operating systems to suit your needs.
Yes. The output voltage will not always be 240 volts - it will fluctuate. Plus a typical wind turbine throws out some harmonics due to the AC/DC/AC design necessary to convert it from speed of blade rotating to a constant 60 Hz. If you are building this all yourself, for you own home use, and especially if you wish to disconnect from the grid, It might be best to build the turbine to AC/DC and charge a battery bank. A reverse charging protection schemed needs to be set up for when the DC voltage dips below the battery voltage (when the wind isn't blowing). A large home-sized DC-AC converter would be used to power the home off the battery bank, then. This scheme would protect the home from the harmonic output from the wind turbine (which could damage sensitive electronics like computers, LCDs, etc.).
System calls are used whenever a program needs to access a restricted resource, eg a file on the hard disk, any hardware device, or when it needs to print or draw to the screen
Yes, usually.
because all gas turbine has three stage buckets
Check the recipe before cooking. Sometimes preheating is, and sometimes is not, necessary. If you need to cook something in the oven for a specific amount of time at a specific temperature, then it must be cooked at that temperature the WHOLE time.If it takes 10 minutes to preheat it to 300 degrees, and you put the food in WITHOUT preheating, you undercook it.And if you out the food in WHILE preheating, you end up overcooking it.

You usually do not braze copper, you solder it. If you were to use brazing rod on copper, the copper would have very close to the same melting point as the brazing rod. This makes it difficult to do. As far as preheating the copper, it needs to be hot enough for the brazing to flow.
Basically governing of a turbine is controlling the speed of the turbine as the load keeps varying. The turbine needs to rotate at a constant speed. The governing of an impulse turbine is done by varying the jet of water that hits the buckets of the runner. This is done by using a spear arrangement in the pen stock. A pen stock is a type of pipe that provides the jet of water.

The customer's needs.
An operating system provide an interface between the user and hardware. operating system is a platform in which all the user applications can run
because it needs to reboot
It is a software application.. Because power point needs operating system to run
By the same means any other technician that needs to travel would do so.
Because the steam expands as it passes through the turbine. The steam velocity through the turbine is constant from steam chest to exhaust hood (though it changes in each stage). Thus, the space needed for the steam to expand needs to be expanded to correspond with that expansion of the steam.
