Thermonuclear warfare is the use of nuclear weapons in war, either tactically or strategically. Although the term "thermonuclear" technically applies only to the process of fusion, the term is loosely applied to conflict involving fission weapons, fusion weapons, or both (informal synonyms are "atomic war" or "nuclear war").
They become child soldiers with force, usually through kidnapping or with threats. They then go through painful, dehumanizing training which gives them their skills with weapons and the emotional detachment necessary to kill.

One book is on the problems with atomic weapons in tactical usage and that the US division is overly large depending on too many support troops in the rear without enough front line troops to be effective. The other book is on the problems of atomic weapons in strategic usage. One may or may not agree with his ideas but either way they are interesting and easy to read.
