Low Fuel EconomyThe question is very broad but the most likely reasons for a car to use more fuel than normal is low tire pressure, dirty air filter, or a cold engine.

I'm not a pro, but I had a couple spark plugs go in my car and I went from about 28mpg to 12mpg until I replaced them, and now it averages 30-33mpg. Might want to make sure they're all firing.

__________________________ Low oil pressure will cause poor mileage-it's the first thing I check. Any engine should use some degree of oil between changes and depending on the age/mileage of your car it will be more rather than less. In short: check your oil level (the other answers are valid as well)

Why does my car use more gas than usual?

A car can use more gas than usual if it has been skipping service after certain milestones. A messed exhaust and a faulty fuel injection system will also lead to increased fuel consumption.

Why is uranium not a fuel like the fossil fuels?

Uranium is a fuel. It is not like a fossil fuel in that it is not consumed by burning (rapid oxidation) to produce heat.Uranium is consumed by its radioactive decay. This process releases heat which is used, just like a fossil fuel, to make steam to run power plants. It is consumed much more slowly than is fossil fuels, and it does not release carbon dioxide, sulfur oxides and other gases to the atmosphere when it is consumed. It does create an ash, the spent fuel. Spent uranium fuel does not fly into the air the way fossil fuel ash might if not controlled, but it does have to be disposed of. - Since spent uranium fuel is radioactive, making disposal more difficult.

How do you adjust air fuel ratio on 94 toyoto pickup 22re?

The air/fuel ratio is controlled by a set of instructions within the ECU(electronic control unit) or ECM. It can only be adjusted electronically with computer equipment that intercepts signals from the various sensors and basically fools the engine computer into allowing more or less gas to be injected. It is possible with those models but is not easy. JSM

Explain why a car with a large mass might use more fuel than a car with a smaller mass?

Because, according Newton law F=ma. If F=ma, then A=F*L=E. (this is physics) Where F -force m - mass of car a - acceleration of car A - acceleration work L - trace E - energy And so, if mass of car is large, then spent more energy, and spent more fuel.

EVAP code. po455 is an EVAP leak code for your vehicle's fuel emissions system. This is usually a fuel vapor leak or a lack of purge in the fuel vapor system. If you seem to be burning more fuel than usual you should get your car looked at soon. Could cause some problems down the road.

Which is more fuel efficient at the same PSI, turbocharging or supercharging?

Turbocharging. A turbocharger uses spent gas fumes for energy and drives a fan to get the fresh air into the intake to mix with the fuel that is already going into the engine. A supercharger uses belts and pullys that is constantly connected to the engine and therfore makes the car inject more fuel. A turbo charger can be adjusted wile a super is perm.

Nuclear fission is extremely expensive when everything goes right. When things go wrong it is even more expensive. People haven't found a safe place to put the nuclear trash (spent fuel rods) yet.
