When a number is squared we understand it is multiplied by itself. Example =>2*2=4
Which in index form is written as 22=4
Thus when it is cubed we write it as 23=8=2*2*2

Thus when the exponent the 23 (the bold part) is a fraction such as 21/2

it is called square routing.Again 21/3 is called cube rooting.
Thus the value obtained by 21/3 when cubed accurately gives the number 2 itself.
As we see 21/3*21/3*21/3=2
=2(1/3+1/3+1/3)
=21 =2.A number in the order 21/x(where x is any integer) is valued accurately to the 16th decimal point is called routing.
