Verbal communication is used in many areas of the automotive environment. When the mechanics are working together they need to have good verbal communication skills. Also when they are dealing with customers they need to be able to communicate verbally.
Non-verbal communication is important in itself as it can convey emotions, attitudes, and intentions without using words. It complements verbal communication and can often provide additional meaning to the message being conveyed. Non-verbal cues such as facial expressions, gestures, and body language can significantly impact how a message is understood and received.

Verbal communication is communication using words, and is therefore the core of most conversations. Non-verbal communication is also important in that it supplements the verbal conversation. For example, smiling or patting somebody on the back helps the people connect and understand each other. The standard answer to this is 93% of communication is non-verbal but it is wrong. The truth is that the experiments at the source of this myth (carried out by researcher Albert Mehrabian in the 70's) were focused on some very specific areas of communication - namely the communication of feelings and attitudes - not communication in general. A wink is the same as a nod, to a blind person.
Nonverbal communication includes body language, facial expressions, gestures, and tone of voice. In the classroom, it can enhance understanding, engagement, and connection with students. Teachers who are aware of their nonverbal cues can use them effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Communication in business is a very important skill. Management needs to communicate with employees. Communication includes verbal and non verbal techniques and written emails and newsletters.

Answer In my opinion, it is easier to overcome verbal communication barriers because at least you know what you are dealing with therefore making it an easier situation to try and correct. When there are nonverbal communication barriers present it would be more difficult to overcome the sitation because no one is talking! There has to be verbal communication going before anything can be corrected.
