the name Canaan is synonymous to Tagalog word " Kanaan" (commiting sins without boundary) .The story was about the wrong intention of Cham(son of noah) he looked the naked body of his father noah and commited sin (maybe homosexual orientation) .Noah knew what his son cham did so he cursed canaan (the offspring of Cham) because he knew what kind of people are the sons of Canaan.

Did dinosaurs exist during or after Noah's time?

This All depends on your personal Scientific views. An answer if you believe in an old earth would be:No, the dinosaurs all died about 65 million years ago. So they were long gone by the time of Noah. There's geologic evidence of a great worldwide flood sometime between 4000 B.C.E. and 2800 B.C.E. So Noah most likely lived at some point during that time period. As for evidence there is none really, we can't know. However if you believe in a young earth, an answer would be:Yes or no. The Bible says nothing of whether there were (or were not) dinosaurs on the ark. You can imagine that since the dinosaurs were so dangerous, men would group together and go kill them. They might have missed some though. You can conclude that since Noah got two (at least) of EVERY animal, then if there were some dinosaurs still left, Noah got them too. As for evidence, there is none on either party.Sources:http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/2000/04/03/dinosaurs-on-noahs-arkhttp://www.earthage.org/youngearthev/evidence_for_a_young_earth.htmhttp://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/am/v1/n1/world-born-4004-bc

Is a widows peak a sign of intelligence?

I've never heard that it is, however there's an English Old Wives Tale that when a woman has a widows peak, it means she will outlive her husband! I have been cursed - cursed NOT blessed - with a widows peak, I get accused of loosing my hair! I hate it so much, but love at the same time that it's so different!

Why did Noah punish Canaan instead of Ham?

In the Bible, after Ham saw his father Noah naked and told his brothers, Noah cursed Canaan instead of Ham. This was likely symbolic of the consequences passing down to future generations, as Canaan was believed to be the ancestor of the Canaanite people who were the enemies of the Israelites. It was a form of punishment that extended beyond just Ham himself.

Why did the Israelites fight against Canaanite?

The descendants of Canaan, who encompassed the tribes of the Promised Land at the time of the Exodus from Egypt, were under a curse stemming back to the days of Noah and his sons. The Curse of Ham was laid down because of Ham's disregard for his father, and would cause all the descendants of Canaan, the fourth generation in the line of Noah through Ham, to serve the descendants of Shem, among which came forth Abraham, Isaac, Jacob who becomes Israel, Joseph, and the Hebrew people. In a much broader sense, God had chosen the Hebrew people as His own, and Canaan Land was the land God had promised the Hebrews.

Where did Canaan get its name?

A:The Bible provides legendary explanations for the naming of all the regions and peoples of the ancient Near East, with Canaan as the son of Ham, son of Noah (Genesis 10:6). Genesis 10:15 even explains the name of the city of Sidon, this being Canaan's firstborn son. The real origin of the name Canaan is lost in the mists of time. There never was a united territory of Canaan, simply a loose alliance of West Semitic people who all spoke the same language and shared common interests. The biblical account demonstrates that they were collectively known as Canaanites, although no extrabiblical evidence of this usage has yet been found.
