Why was Dr Ahmed Gumi arrested in Saudi Arabia?

The arrest of Sheikh Gumi in Saudi Arabia since february 2010 because of alleged links with Farouk Umar Mutallab was received with great shock back home in Nigeria. For now, at least they have succeeded in caging him without any resistance or protest from the Nigerian government. Typical of public institutions in Nigeria including the National Assembly and even our Security Agencies, they did not help matters when the U.S.A. first reported the alleged attempt to bomb flight 253 on 25th December, 2009 by Farouk Mutallab in Detroit, U.S.A. Rather, everybody took on a defensive posture struggling to prove that Nigeria is not a terrorist Nation. Without a doubt, Sheikh Gumi has no tenable links with farouk prior to the visit of Umar Mutallab, Farouk's father to Sheikh Gumi soliciting for assistance from Gumi to counsel Farouk to return home to Nigeria. Having looked at the facts of the case and Gumi's arrest, the onus is now on Umar Mutallab to prove that he was not used to facilitate the arrest of Gumi by putting his son on line as an alleged terrorist. In reviewing this matter, what we must not forget are:

1. Farouk Umar Mutallab's multiple entry visa to the U.S.A.was not withdrawn though his name was on the terrorist watch list.

2.Alhaji Umar Mutallab, a retired banker, works in close cooperation with Israeli intelligence, the Mossad and is a friend of the C.I.A.

3.Farouk, while at Amsterdam airport was being assisted by a man who appeared to be an Indian and claimed farouk was a Sudanese refugee with no passport.

4.Farouk, though flying from Nigeria, entered the Netherlands without passing through customs, something impossible to do without assistance from an intelligence agency and high connections.

It is against this background that you will realise that Sheikh Gumi was only a victim of international conspiracy which Umar Mutallab was used in facilitating.
