Unilever wanted the shelf space to market their newer line of Sunsilk products marketed towards a younger consumer at a higher price.
However, hope is not lost. Unilever only took Thermasilk off their USA product list but continue it on their Canadian distribution and website.

I was walking down the aisle at a Safeway in Daly City, CA and saw a whole bunch of Thermasilk Shampoo and Conditioner. I cleaned them out. I don't know if they've restocked, but it's just like I remember. I love it. Please bring it back Helene!

Not sure when this was posted. Someone else had written that they were still selling it in Canada, but here in the US Unilever pulled it off the shelves around Aprill '08. Their new product is Sunsilk, which costs more and is not as good.
Apparently, it was pulled from the market due to the toxicity of its ingredients.
I have been complaining to Unilever Products about this. I was in complete shock and piised off to say the least. Although they are asking for the UPC code and trying to help me out as to where I can actually find it. I have checked everywhere and NO ONE has it available. I have been told by them to try there new line "SUNSILK". I have and it s----!!!!. The hairspray was the best and held amazing. I have since bought all kinds and nothing compares. If I found out more, i will post.
