James 1 started the Stuart era in 1603, after Elizabeth 1
King James I
Shakespeare's life overlapped the reigns of two English monarchs, and so he lived in both the Elizabethan Era (named for Queen Elizabeth I) and the Jacobean Era (named for King James I). Elizabeth was the last Tudor monarch so he lived in the Tudor Era, and James was the first Stuart monarch so he also lived in the Stuart Era. The time in which he lived is also sometimes called the English Renaissance. And of course Shakespeare himself is such a prominent figure that his times might be called the Shakespearean Era.
Stuart is an era. The Stuart era refers to the years between 1603 to 1714.
First tell us what "the following" are.
Stuart is a surname
5 ft 7 in, just like Audrey Hepburn (but they are not related, except by their ancestor James Hepburn of the Mary Stuart era).
The last Tudor monarch, Queen Elizabeth I, had no children, so the throne of England went to her cousin's son, King James VI of Scotland, who became James I of England and started the Stuart era.
The Stuart Dynasty is known as one of the least successful dynasties for several reasons. Its rulers were ineffective and plagued by problems. Charles I was put on trial and beheaded; James II fled the throne. James I never realized his ambitions, and Charles II had none. Two decades of war and revolution occurred during the Stuart era, but no lasting changes or breakthroughs took root.
There were a number of eras that were between the Tudor era and the Victorian era. The era were in the following order after the Tudor era came Stuart era and then the Georgian era which was followed by the Victorian era.
Elizabethan Times, Jacobean Era and The Stuart era
James I was the first Stuart to be king of England and Ireland from 1603 to 1625 and king of Scotland from 1567 to 1625.
