The word "know" is not the know we use to mean to be familiar with. The word know means to have been intimate with, which lends one to believe that John was intimate with someone but not one of the disciples.
John was not the oldest of the disciples. It is believed that Peter was the oldest among the twelve disciples of Jesus.
Yes he did.
After He is baptized by John, Jesus begins to call His disciples (John 1:35-51).
Matthew was a tax collector; Peter, Andrew, James, and John were fishermen; possibly three others were fishermen as well (John 21:2). Other than these, the Bible does not say.
Matthew and John were disciples.
john
andrew, peter, james and john were all fishermen
The disciples James and John were both sons of Zebedee (Matthew 4:21). Peter and Andrew were also brothers (Matthew 4:18).
John is one of the disciples of Jesus Christ.
The youngest disciple was John.
Peter, James, and John were the three disciples who went with Jesus to the mountain where he was transfigured.
John the Baptist had his own disciples. The Bible says John's disciples practiced fasting (Mark 2:18), and he taught them to pray (Luke 11:1). Additionally, while John the Baptist was in prison, he sent two of his own disciples to ask Jesus if he was the coming One (Matt. 11:2-3). There may have been some competing interests between John and Jesus' disciples.
