King John was born in Oxford, in the year 1167 on the day of Christmas Eve he was married to a woman named Matilda apparently she had a big mouth King John was the youngest son of Henry the second and its to be said that John was his favorite son Henry was married to Eleanor Aquitaine. King john was called john lack land for the reasons of Henry the second not having much land to pass down. King john had a brother who was called Richard, but known as Richard the lion hart sadly for john disasters seemed to fall again again and again.
To gain the throne and the crown King John murdered his nephew, Matilda started telling people witch cased John to lock her and her son up in Windsor castle and that lead them to starve to death. So then King John became king and when this happened Richard lion hart got banished when he returned in 1194 and soon after in 1199 he died as john be came king.
King John ruled England from 1199 to 1216. He quarreled with the Pope about how to run the Church. From 1208 till 1213, the Pope banned all church services in England and English people were worried that they would all go to hell! Some Church leaders blamed John for the trouble.
Also John went to war twice against the French king and then raised the taxes so they could pay for the wars and this upset the barons

∙ 11y agoin some respects he was an unlucky king and in ohters he was a bad king, unlukcy because his brother richard didnt leave him enough money to rule the country so he was forced to raise taxes, due to this he was seemed as a meen old king, he was bad coz He killed his nephew wen he was drunk posest by the devil this was coz hios nephew was the true heir t the throne!!
