She may not have been the only one, just the only one that went with the others on two nights of murder. When Charles Manson selected the people that carried out his orders of murder he picked the one's he knew would do as he wished, no questions asked. Kasabian was one of the more recent additions to Manson's 'family', knowing Manson for a much shorter time than some of the others.
Manson made a huge mistake when sending Kasabian along to the Tate-LaBianca residences. The only one that did not take part in the violence, she was, however, the only family member with a valid California driver's licence. She made an easily believable witness for the proscution.
Kasabian was the mother of a small daughter, which may have left her more 'grounded' and stable, not as easily influenced by others. It is probably true in at least a small way that she was not the type of person that was in the habit of losing control over her mind, drugs or no drugs, to outside influences.
Linda Kasabian is living in Oklahoma, near her daughter Tanya and her family. Tulsa area I believe.
Linda Kasabian is 5' 1".

Linda Kasabian - she witnessed the from outside the house. It was thought she was sent because she had a drivers license. She was not aware of the intent of the trip until it was too late. Charles Manson made a poor call when he picked Linda Kasabian to join the group of killers who set out to kill everyone inside the homes of actress Sharon Tate and Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. Kasabian went along, but stood in horror as the screams of the victims broke the night's silence. She managed to escape from the Manson family and later turned state's evidence during the Tate and LaBianca murder trials. It was her eye-witness testimony that sealed the convictions of those responsible.
The Family members waxed and waned, came and went. Some would come back, others just disappeared. At times it was around 20 people, but at times came close to 100. The average was about 30, counting children. For this reason it is difficult to name everyone. But the more permanent members were:Tex Watson, Mary Brunner, Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkle, Leslie VanHouton, Bobby Beuseleil and Linda Kasabian. There were some Family members, such as John 'Shorty' Shea, who vanished after striking up a friendship with Charlie, he wasn't alone.
