Why was Monosodium Glutamate created?
Yes. These are the chips [that I know of] that have msg. Almost all flavored Doritos contain MSG. Some cheetos contain msg: Cheetos Flamin' Hot Ingredients with free Glutamate (MSG): Monosodium Glutamate, Autolyzed yeast extract, Hydrolyzed soy protein, Sodium caseinate Natural Cheetos White Cheddar Puffs Ingredients with free Glutamate (MSG): Torula yeast*, Maltodextrin Baked Cheetos Ingredients with free Glutamate (MSG): Monosodium Glutamate, Maltodextrin, Whey Protein Concentrate Cheetos Crunchy Cheese Flavor Ingredients with free Glutamate (MSG)…
Hydrolyzed is the same as monosodium glutamate. Does a lipolyzed product contain monosodium glutamate?
Hydrolyzed is chemically or physically combined with hydrogen or water (dihydrogen oxide.) Crisco is an example of hydrolyzed, or partially hydrogenated, oil. Lipolyzed (by the word) is the other side of that; in the same example Crisco could be considered lipolyzed (lipoprotein infused aka fat-combined) water. Neither of them are Monosodium Glutamate, though use of modified compounds may indicate a likelihood of using MSG.
