The .38 Short Colt catridge may be safely fired in a .38 Special revolver. Not ALL 38 Colts- .38 Short Colt.
Blue Book of Gun values is a place to start.
The .38 Special is a specific cartridge. In addition to the .38 Special, there are perhaps a dozen different .38 cartridges. Most of them are fairly obscure/ obsolete today, but include the shorter, fatter, less powerful .38 S&W, the .38 Long and Short Colts, the .38 rimfires, .38 Merwin & Hullbert, etc. Sort of like "What is the difference between a Ford Mustang and a Ford?"
The Colt .45 was issued to the army after trials in 1873 and manufactured by the Colts manufacturing Company.
Counterclockwise as you view the cylinder from the rear of the revolver. Colts turn in a clockwise direction.
Samuel Colt, the American inventor of the Colt revolver, was raised in a Protestant Christian household. However, specific details about his personal religious beliefs are not extensively documented. Historical records primarily focus on his contributions to firearms and business rather than his religious views. As such, while he was likely influenced by the Protestant values of his time, his personal faith remains somewhat ambiguous.
Offensive- Peyton Manning Defensive- Bob Sanders Special Teams- Adam Vinatieri I think Peyton Manning would be THE most important, though...

If you are referring to the American Civil War, the answer is no. Whatever Colt weapons were already in the South prior to the outbreak of hostilities were the only ones they got to use. They had to make their own weapons, such as the LeMat revolver and the Griswold and Gunnison revolver, which was almost an exact copy of a Colt. Due to lack of materials and manufacturing capacity, these had only limited success. Most of their rifles were British Enfield flintlock and rifled weapons, smuggled in through the Union Naval Blockade.
Six. All revolvers, with the exception of one or two specialty peices, fired Six.
You will have to provide caliber and ALL markings.
